Previously, he has held roles such as M/LWD engineer, drilling optimization engineer, Geo-pressure analyst, drilling engineer, drilling office software product analyst, performance engineer and his penultimate role was Drilling Manager for Russia’s Land Drilling Engineering Centre which span 8 time zones and as many operating bases. He has worked across the globe gathering experience in many different operating environments and various markets. Some of these include California, South America, Gulf of Mexico, Alaska, Siberia, Barbados, China and Moscow.
He holds a BSc (Hons.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of the West Indies. There in majored in communications and electronics but after entering the work environment, he focused on building expertise in drilling and well construction related disciplines.
He has been the main author on a number of professional publications and presentations relating to drilling engineering over his 15 year career in the oilfield. During this time, He has also lead with active participation in many Industry committees, such as SPE and IADC of which he has also been nominated for SPE distinguished lecturer in 2016 and SPE drilling engineer of the year in 2017. Crispin has also been recipient of numerous Schlumberger awards for his technical contribution to the industry. He focuses much of his time on education and considers it the most worthwhile subject to which he can devote his personal efforts outside what he does for Schlumberger.
