Dear TTEC 2016 Delegate:

Welcome to the Trinidad and Tobago Energy Conference 2016!

We look forward to your participation over the next three days!

Below are just a few reminders:

Registration and badge collection:

  • Registration takes place from 7.00 am to 8.45 am in the Regency Pre-function area on Day 1 & 2 and from 7:30am to 8:45am on Day 3, the Green Energy Day . Registered delegates simply need to pick-up their badges and conference bags – badges are organized alphabetically by company name and then by surname.
  • Badges must be worn at all times during the conference to identify you as a delegate so that you will be allowed entrance into the conference, lunch, social events and coffee break areas. Badges are colour-coded based on the day you plan to attend and are non-transferable

Payment:

Non-members of the Energy Chamber, who have not have received their payment confirmation, are kindly asked to visit the Secretariat to confirm that we have received payment. Non-members of the Chamber will not be allowed to enter the Conference if payment is not received. Each day of the Conference, however, we will be accepting payment by Visa/Mastercard, bankers draft or cash at the Conference Secretariat. American Express will be accepted but at a 15% surcharge.

Upgrade:

One day delegates can upgrade their registration to include both days for an additional US$465.75/TT$2,980.80 plus VAT for members and US$816.50/TT$5,225.60 plus VAT. Visit us at the Conference Secretariat for more details.

Green Energy Day:

Registration is still open for the workshops being held on Day 3 of the Trinidad & Tobago Energy Conference 2016. Visit us at the secretariat to register for either:

Meeting rooms:

We have organized meeting rooms to accommodate matchmaking sessions among delegates. We have limited slots available, so please check with Natasha Rajack at the Conference Secretariat. Bookings are on a first come – first served basis. She can also be contacted at 354-4181.

Prayer room:

The Sangre Grande Room has been designated a Prayer Room and will be available for that use throughout the conference.

Social Media:

Delegates can now follow us on twitter @TTEnergyChamber or #TTEnergyConference2016. Updates will be sent at intervals throughout the Conference via our Facebook page and twitter account.

Text updates:

This year we are pleased to be able to send text message updates to delegates throughout the conference. If you would like to receive text reminders, please chat with the TSTT representative at the Secretariat to submit your mobile contact.

Opening Day cocktails:

Guests of delegates can also purchase tickets for the cocktail reception at a cost of US$100 or TT$650 plus VAT. Lunch tickets are also available at US$55 or TT350 plus VAT.

60th Anniversary Gala Dinner:

The 60th Anniversary Gala Awards Ceremony and Dinner starts promptly at 6:30 at the Port of Spain Ballroom, Hyatt Regency. We ask that guests be seated by 6:15p.m. Persons attending the dinner must be a registered delegate and are asked to wear their delegate badge for ease of identification. Guests of delegates may attend at an additional cost of US$135 or TT$875 + 15% VAT. The dress code for the event is business attire.

To RSVP, all delegates registered for both Day 1 & 2, must return the RSVP cards that you will receive at registration, or submit your business cards to the Secretariat by 2:00pm on Monday 18th January.

You will note that the RSVP card states a deadline of noon on Tuesday 19th January. Please note that this applies to Day 2 only delegates.

Traffic & Parking:

Eastbound vehicles on Wrightson Road can turn right into the Hyatt. Hyatt’s security will be positioned on Dock Road to assist with the flow of traffic. Free but limited parking for all delegates is available in the Hyatt multi-story car park, levels 5, 6 & 7. Carpooling is encouraged. Please ensure that you validate your parking ticket at the Secretariat before 6:00pm on each day in order to access the free parking. Exhibitors may also advise visitors to their booths that the Dock Road car park will allow persons wishing to visit the tradeshow/conference after 4:00pm to park there at no charge, between the hours of 4:00pm – 11:00pm.

We invite you to visit the tradeshow which this year includes 4 pavilions, 57 booths and 11 table-top exhibitors.

Video Diaries:

The Energy Chamber has hired a company to capture newsworthy items and the general activities of the Conference. Certain aspects of these videos will be uploaded via social media and our website. We therefore ask your cooperation in facilitating their request for an interview if you are approached.

E-newsletters:

We are once again pleased to be able to communicate key matters to you, over the course of the conference, via our electronic newsletter. You should expect to receive an issue on each morning of the conference.

EnergyNow news-stand:

The Conference edition of our trade newspaper the Energynow will be released on the opening day of the conference. A newsstand will be strategically positioned so that you can help yourselves to this first edition for 2016. If you are interested in advertising in EnergyNow Advertising booking forms for upcoming issues will be available at the Secretariat.
